Is,, As I said I am a Leo..  my husband is a Gemini, we are supposed to be incompatible?  Been married almost 27 years, not bad for a marriage that should never have worked out..  laughing

I do have fun reading my horiscope now and again.. Now I wonder what is in store for me next week..  happyspin

Shelly  wave,

Actually there are elements between a (typical) leo and a (typical) gemini that supports a long life together; and usually people aren't as their typical star-signs suggest them to be - we all have so many different sides to us. One would have to see your complete birth charts (from the both of you) in order to be able to say anything on your astrological combatibility (it may be that you are a moon virgo, and your husband has his planet venus in leo's sign - or you both have the same moon signs, which would (in the eyes of astrology) help you to understand each others (first) reactions and emotions. There can be many explanations  wink. Or can it be that you were drawn to each other based on different personalities? You both possess something that the other one doesn't have and in that way you make each other feel complete?

Also in astrology it is a known fact that the environment plays a hudge part too in what we'll become and what our values in life are going to be. It is not supposed to be a thorough all-inclusive method - just a way to help us to understand ourselves (and others) a little better.

I believe that my sign is utter rubbish and is made up from some failing journalist who has nothing better to do and has been given the worst of the jobs.

One finnish astrologer said it wisely in his handbook on astrology; he said that if astrology is to be viewed as a symbolic language, then not to believe in it would be like not believing in any other language either. He said that, when he first started to study it, he was sceptical too - then he realised that the main principles of it does work.

It's like Isaac Newton once said: "Sir, you have not studied it, I have."  Smiley: cool smiley

ok so I'm only the mum but I'm Gemeni.  I'm not really into all this but have made some observations.
There was a time when all my close friends were also Gemini and if I picked someone new to talk to they would be Gemini.  Hopefully I'm more balanced now......

Hi Everyone, I haven't been around for a while, so a big "HELLO" to the newbies I have not met.

I am capricorn and don't really bother much about the signs.

Katrina; this subject usually does (create debate)  wink - I'm used to it by now, even though sometimes I think that why do I want to go through these debates all over again and again.. I guess I like being the underdog. And it's always refreshing to find others who have noticed same things that I have. Also as I was trying to find this subject from the forum before starting a new topic of it, I was thinking to myself, that we absolutely need to have a topic about astrology, as this is a site where majority of the users are women (and many of us are into astrology)  grin.

Hello to you too, Dawn and nice to meet you  cheerful.

As I was reading through it said that areas to look at for health issues was headaches & kidney problems ..... quite ironic  Smiley: rolling on the floor laughing

Okay, I decided to look up my own sign and see if it's right as to personality etc - I like to think I'm not narrow minded hence me going off to look for this stuff.

The first characteristic was 'shy, gentle and patient' This is completely the opposite of me. I'm the most impatient person most of my friends know, and usually not shy. I'm sure it can be twisted to 'fit' with something or other though.

So I carried on reading and it said this:

"They are strong willed and forceful in their own way.
Very opinionated with strong convictions, they fight for what they believe in.
Known to be frank and outspoken, Aquarians makes for a serious and genial companion.
Refined and idealistic, romantic but practical, they are personable and likable people.
Quick in mind and quick to respond, Aquarians love activity and are quite reasonable.
They will go out of their way to help when needed, but never get involved emotionally."

Now this couldn't be more correct. It's absolutely spot on.

The thing I found most relevant to me was that Aquarians appreciate time on their own.

One bit that made me laugh, but was very true:
Simmering anger and resentment, rudeness or, worse, a tense, threatening silence which may suddenly burst out in eruptions of extreme temper, these are all part of the negative side of the Aquarian.

I think things like the above can be made to sound very personal, yet can be very general and be relevant to half of the population.

I'm still not convinced about this stuff. I think it's too general. It could be relevant to half the population and be made to fit around anyones personality.

Kayleigh, now we are talking  boogie boogie boogie

That was a very good interpretation of a typical Aquarius, but I can definitely see how it would seem to you, Kayleigh, that it's too general and can be said about anybody. The thing with astrology (and personal characteristics) is that you need to know your whole astrological chart - or at least all your so called 'subjective signs' that are the ones that effect the most in your personality.

The most important signs are your sun sign (yours is the Aquarius), moon sign and the rising sign. These are the three most important ones and go a long way in telling about your personality. The sun sign is thought to be a person's ego - the real you (underneath it all). Moon sign is about first reactions, maternal (nurturing) love and the emotional side of you. Moon sign is also very important to know - it usually doesn't "open up" right away, like the sun sign usually does, as these trades about one's personality (this unrecognized side of us) have to do with feelings.

The rising sign is the one that usually other people first see about you  Smiley: cool smiley; it is the way you protect yourself from the outside world. A mask. It also effects the personality.

Along with these signs (sun, moon and rising sign) it helps to know where the Venus, Mars and Mercurius were when you were born.

You can find this information (for free) from some astro sites; or give me your information (I need to know your birth date; day, month and year. The place where you were born (if in hospital, then the town (and country) where the hospital was) and the excact time when you were born (for example at 9.15pm).

Let's find out, Kayleigh  Smiley: cool smiley

I'll update when mother lets me know the time etc  cool
