Its now been a year of completely eratic periods. I thought they were settling down as for 2 months they were fine but last month I hardly had one and this month it just hasn't stopped & now I am starting to worry that something is wrong. My gyneo secretary is not back till next week so I'm going to try and speak with him or get an appointment for then. I don't want him to think I'm being neurotic but I left the symptoms of IIH for a long time and when they side it could of been a tumor it really freaked me out so I am now worried that if I don't get symptoms checked out it could be a lot worse.

I always try to be positive but even my husband has noticed that Ive been quiet lately. I know that on here you always are understanding and just need to voice my concerns.  I know that some people have experienced problems with periods who have IIH as they think it hormone related. Has anyone on here lately had any concerns and had them resolved? Would love to hear them.

Thanks

Thanks Jaxter for you post. Ive got appointment tomorrow with my Gyneo. He fitted me in quickly. Im very worried and feeling rather anxious about what will be said but I really need to know what is going on. My GP has done all the regular tests (last October) which women have but never really were concerned about the changes I told them about but it isnt going away. I shall have some more info by tomorrow ...... whatever that will be!  Smiley: unsure

Good luck with gyno tomorrow - let us know what happens. I'm thinking positive thoughts for ya!  hug

Hi Fluffy thanks for your post. Definitely did the right thing in going and getting checked out.
I do have the most wonderful Gyneo. He restores my faith in the medial profession every time I see him. Well as usual he sat and listened to my concerns, the symptoms I was having and talked me through my blood results. He wants more hormone checks done and is sending me for a scan to get a better undertanding of whats happening. I wish he specialised in IIH too  laughing   I am feeling a lot better than I did. He has put me at ease. Just have to wait and see what the scan shows.

Just coming up to a year of being married and what a roller coaster of a year it has been. No wonder I'm having moods swings from hell with all these hormones  bang head

I'm glad you're feeling a little better in yourself. Sometimes the best thing we can do is have someone listen fully to our concerns and act appropriately.

I'm sure everything will turn out fine and that your scan will come back with positive results for you.

Think happy thoughts and keep us updated as you hear anything xx hug
